Most of this is pretty basic stuff, in no particular order. If you have questions about anything you see (or don't see) here please feel free to e-mail me.
Inherent Risks of Blogging:
By ordering from Blogger Boutique you agree that I am not responsible for the personal information (photos, names, etc.) you put on your blog or that you hire me to put on your blog. Basic safety precautions should be taken with all on-line information.
Privacy
I will NEVER share your e-mail address or any other contact info you may give me with anybody for any reason. I also hold your log-in information strictly confidential. If you're concerned about sharing your password, you can change it temporarily then change it back when I'm done.
Blogger Blogs Only
I only work on Blogger Blogs.
Order Questionnaire
When placing an order answer each question in my Order Questionnaire as thoroughly as possible and try to submit ALL of the information I'll need to design your blog up front (photos, titles, URL's for links, font preferences, etc.). Information submitted after I start on your design may result in a longer design time and possibly additional charges. If you have something specific in mind for your design please be specific when you place your order. If you're not quite sure what you want, take a few days to think it over before you order. If you have filled out the questionnaire thoroughly there should not be a need for excessive design revisions.
Design Process
I'll work on your design on my test blog where you'll be able to view it and give me your feedback as I go. I generally start with the background and build from there. I'll send you the link to my test blog once I get started on your design. My time frame for completing each design is typically 2-3 days and depends on how thoroughly you've completed your Order Questionnaire and how quickly you respond to any e-mails I send to you. It's very helpful if you check your e-mail often while I am working on your design in case I have any questions or need additional information from you. I also ask that you not make any changes to your blog while I am installing your new design.
Waiting List
The dates that I am currently accepting orders for are listed at the top of my site. I schedule designs in the order that I receive each client's completed order questionnaire and deposit. In order to prevent delays, please make sure I've received your full payment before your name is up on my design list.
Digi-Scrap Kits
I use digital scrapbooking kits for most of my designs. Legally I am required to use kits that the designer has created and sold for commercial use or has given me their permission to use. If you come across a kit somewhere else that you would like me to use, YOU may contact the designer and ask their permission. If they agree to it, I will need a copy of their e-mail and their e-mail address along with your order. I have to purchase and download each kit myself, even if it is a kit that you already have. Out of respect for the designers' Terms of Use, I cannot share kits or individual items from the kits with you ~ only flattened images on your design. Kits typically run $3-$8 and some designers charge an additional licensing fee which will be added to your design total.
iStock Images
Most of the images in my headers come from iStockphoto.com. I charge $1.50/credit for iStock images and they typically run 5-15 credits each. I reserve the right to reuse images on future designs.
Revisions
Revisions are included in the cost of each element of your design, as long as it does not become excessive. If I have to revise something more than twice, or if you change your mind about something that you have specifically asked me to include previously (a certain background page, a certain font, switching out photos you've sent, etc.) you may incur a fee based on the amount of time it will take me to make the change.
If you decide to switch digi-scrap kits mid-design there WILL be an additional fee to cover the cost of the new kit and the amount of time I've already spent designing with the initial kit. If you don't like a kit once you see it on my test blog, please let me know as soon as possible.
If you decide to switch layouts mid-design there will be a fee totaling the difference between the two layouts + $10 to cover my time to change everything over.
Any revisions after I have installed your design on your blog will be billed at $30/hour.
Payment
I prefer PayPal but also accept Google Checkout. A non-refundable $25 deposit (which will be applied to your total) is required when you place your order to hold your position on my waiting list. Once I've had a chance to look over your order I'll send you an invoice for your remaining total, which is due before I get started on your design. If I haven't received your payment by the time your name comes up on my design list, I'll move on to the next name and your order will be moved back.
Refunds/Credits
Due to the nature of blog design, I do not offer refunds on designs I have started on. If you change your mind before I get started on your design I will be happy to refund your payment minus your deposit, the cost of any digi-scrap kits or iStock images I've purchased for your design, and any PayPal or Google Checkout fees.
I determine my costs based on the amount of time it takes me to create/install each item, therefore, I do not credit or switch out items for other items after I've designed them.
Copyright
The layouts and design elements of Blogger Boutique are protected by U.S. Copyright law. No part of any blog design may be altered, copied, or resold for any reason. You may not install your design on additional blogs or use elements from your design on other sites without my written permission (excluding buttons and blinkies that are made to be shared with your readers).
Credit
I credit Blogger Boutique, with a link back to my site, and the designer of the digi-scrap kit that I use at the bottom of every blog I design. That information is required to remain on your blog as long as you are using the design. If you remove the credit link, you also agree to remove every part of your design created by Blogger Boutique. I place my button that links back to my site in the sidebar of every blog I design. The button may be moved to wherever you prefer and is not required to stay, but I greatly appreciate if it does.
