I was thrilled to work with Kayla on her custom blog design. She had decided to make the switch from WordPress.com to WordPress.org (self-hosted). She had some really great ideas for her header design, and I really loved the color scheme she wanted to work with. She also wanted some playful custom fonts, and I’m always down with that.
We set her up initially with a custom homepage setup with multiple featured story sections, but she later changed her mind and just wanted a simple blog layout with full posts showing. Everyone has their own idea of what they want their site to look like, and that is what makes my job so fun and rewarding.
She has some neat custom features like an after-post widget area where we created a space for people to subscribe to her posts via email. She has a custom favicon to match her design, and a great looking sidebar “About Me’ image that links to her About page. Her site is mobile responsive, too, which is a service I try to include in all my package deals.
Kayla was easy to work with (which makes me love my job even more) and she approved the first draft of her design. Home run! She has some great workout ideas and recipes on her site, so be sure to visit her when you can!
