Did you know that I can customize ProPhoto Blog Templates? It’s true! Over the last couple of years, I have had the wonderful opportunity of working with some very talented ladies as I customized their ProPhoto design for them. With each project, I have fallen more in love with ProPhoto. I was an immediate fan of the platform- which is coded so smartly. It is SO easy to customize. You’d be surprised! Don’t overlook the fact that ProPhoto isn’t only for photographers. It is perfect for any type of artist (web design, photography, baker, etc..) and perfect for small business owners.
For users that are unsure if they would be able to use the platform, there are a lot of point & click options to get your site looking exactly how you want it to. It is considered as a WYSIWYG – What You See Is What You Get – platform. If you don’t already know the final layout you want your design to be, then the hardest part is making those decisions. There are a lot of options for layout, functionality, hidden forms, social call to actions, etc.. It’s as simple as finding the section you want to customize (from a menu in the customizing dashboard area) and changing the color, fonts, images, adding galleries, grids and slidshows.
You can create you own images and take a basic template and make it look like something entirely different. Not to mention the ability to easily add custom CSS styles to the theme to make it even more unique to you!
It is super easy to create a static homepage and embed a slideshow in it. You can remove the title and other elements on this homepage, and then it looks more like a website. Curious about how to do it? Use the static home page tutorial found in the ProPhoto support files.
You can easily add and customize any plugins that you’d like to use on your site, too. Facebook integration is really popular on a lot of blogs, and it’s easy to set up the option of allowing your readers to leave comments (and have discussions) on your blog using their Facebook account.
ProPhoto offers a plethora of video tutorials to help answer any questions you might have along the design process. The technical support (if needed) is superb as well!
I think I may have used the term “easy” at least a half-dozen times during this post, but if you want to make the leap to ProPhoto, and you’re scared to do it by yourself, well, that is where I come in. I’ll use all my ‘nerdy’ skills and work with you to create a 100% custom – unique to you! – ProPhoto site. If you’re interested, don’t hesitate to contact me! You won’t regret it!
